Here is the deal this week: Saturn is ending its retrograde period that we’ve been feeling since June 29th. Everyone’s favorite stern grandfather who walked 15 miles in the snow uphill both ways to get to school has stopped asking us to look inward and instead wants us to decide what we are going to build. Now we are being asked to go out and build it.
So, if there is something you’ve been sleeping on getting started for awhile this year, after the 15th you’ll be able to start taking action towards getting going. But don’t expect this to be as easy as sitting at your desk and banging out a new novel, finishing a thesis or finalizing a membership-based website (looking at myself here!) With Saturn it may take you a few days to get in the right mindframe to actually do the work. Which means next week. Be patient if you aren’t there yet. After all, we did just go through the biggest election cycle of our lives. No big deal there, right?
This isn’t the easiest week but there are some silver linings. The full Moon in Taurus which also happens to be on the 15th ushers in a period where we can be a little more patient with ourselves and not have to feel as guilty about it. And if you are feeling guilty about self-soothing and taking a break, then slap yourself on the wrist! Then go run a bubble bath. It’s ok to feel tired, emotionally drained, and worn out from the energy lately. Going easy on yourself this week will ensure that you are more “productive” (how American) in December and into next year. We all need to recover a bit.
Venus in Capricorn this week also asks us to be pragmatic in our desires. Add this to the extra Taurus earth energy from the Moon and Saturn going direct and we end up with a TON of down-to-earth, practical, tedious, boring and utterly necessary grounding energy this week. Don’t you love happy endings? I know I do!
