Week of November 18th, 2024

World's Greatest Plutocracy

7 out of 10 Stars

Big week in the skies as a generational transition is about to take place. After an uncomfortable amount of back and forth, Pluto is about to make a final push into the sign of Aquarius, which happens this Tuesday. Unless you plan on living another 250 years or so, you’ll never see this transition happen again in your life.

What does this mean for us on an individual level? Well, not that much. However it means a great deal for humans as a collective. The great agent of change in the sky is now demanding that we transform our preoccupations on status, wealth, money and power into a more humanitarian, scientific and big-picture vision. This is probably good news for the planet we inhabit, as we were forced to let go (Pluto) of an obsession with the relentless pursuit of wealth and social climbing to the detriment of our world. The climate scientist in many of us will be letting out a collective sigh of relief with this transition. Indeed, there is a new awakening happening globally, even if it may not feel like it at the moment.

But it isn’t going to be easy, as there are many who have directly benefited and are all holding on to a life that needs to be left behind. Make no mistake, we are all paying for those that are clinging on to these dark Capricorn traits. Those that are still in charge of this culture are forcing us to endure an increasingly uninhabitable planet, the demands of economic inequality and endless news cycles about things that really are not important. (Do any of us really care about the Kardashians? Or what mansion Kanye purchased?) We can’t do anything about the power these people have. But Pluto sure can. By the end of this next cycle (2043) none of these people will be in positions of influence any longer.

On a much smaller scale, the energy is pretty grounding and solid right now. With the Sun’s transition to Sagittarius, which is the best sign in the zodiac 😉, comes a nice Venus sextile to Saturn indicating that some of the work we started when Saturn went direct last week starts to pick up momentum. At the very least, it is still a good time for slow building toward a positive goal.

The week itself looks pretty good. Most of the energy is encouraging for us to continue building new structures as we follow Pluto’s brave course into the scientific leanings of Aquarius. Time to come up with some new brilliant, weird, and wonderful ideas. That all comes a bit to a halt this weekend though. Mercury is slowing down and stationing late Sunday. That means…

MERCURY RETROGRADE! Oh no! Panic! Everyone’s favorite Astrological scapegoat for all that always goes wrong is BACK! Buckle up for next week, folks, and bring an umbrella. It’s about to rain again!

I'm joking. Mercury retrograde is completely misunderstood. Tune in next week to find out why.

Words of wisdom: Want to join the hype and ride the wave of Pluto in Aquarius? Here's how you can join in on all of the fun. What is a part of yourself that you would normally deem too weird or bizarre to share with the world? Can you think of anything? Good. Now go tell everyone you know. There has never been a better time to be original.
